There was a little bit of snowfall in Kyoto, which is rare, and that night was cold with some snow remaining on the ground. As I followed the neon lights, I was in the Yasaka neighborhood, and before having a drink, I thought of visiting the Yasaka Shrine to offer my prayers, so as I was stepping on the snow on the grounds of the shrine, and then when I looked above and my eyes got glued on to the lights of the lanterns. Yasaka Shrine is a kind of place that represents the colorfulness of Kyoto, and therefore I have visited the shrine during the day and also the lit up gate of the shrine at night many times in the past, but to be honest, I had never thought of painting this place before. However, with the disappearing white snow and a somewhat warm looking lanterns lined up was giving brilliant effects that captivated my heart completely.
