Kudzu I.jpg

I was once asked by Aichi prefecture to do a painting to commemorate the Respect for Senior Citizens day, and I painted the Kudzu plant on a folding fan. With the Kudzu plant, the leaves tend to stand out the most, however there are pretty flowers quietly blooming underneath the leaves. On the fan with my painting, I wrote a badly composed haiku poem, "The Kudzu flower, when flapped by the wind, its face blushes”.
