While in Africa, I made sketches of plants by lying down on the ground and wiping off the sweat that kept coming out. This is a painting in which I combined several of those sketches together and turned them into one painting. Even if you are in Africa, that does not mean elephants and giraffes are all around you. Chameleon was probably the only African like animal that I saw. The Chameleon that I saw at that time is drawn in this painting, so please look for it. For a long while, I did not know the whereabouts of this painting, but I accidentally found out where it was. I painted this painting soon after I got married, and this is the first painting that attracted an art gallery, therefore I have lots of memories with this painting.
