2004 Everlasting mother earth - Radiance.jpg

Every time I fly, I always get a window seat. I often come across unexpected views out of the plane window. On this trip also, I came across a paintable view on my flight to Narita Airport. In the glow of Sunset as the white clouds were reflected on the ocean, there was a ship sailing, it looked like a tiny bean from above. I always have my sketching materials nearby when I am traveling, so I quickly opened my sketch book. When I am passing the scene in seconds, I do use my camera to capture the scene in the photos, but with the sketches, even with a simple sketch, it captures the strong inspiration within the sketch, so it’s more realistic than the photos. After that, all I do is unleash my inspiration when I get back to my studio. I have made my paintings this way many times before.
