1988 Harvest Season.jpg

When the rice fields in front of my house in Nagakute, get busy, it means the harvest season is starting. The golden waves of rice paddies are now ready to be harvested. Flames from burning paddy straws rise from several places, and the roasting smell was reaching my house. I believe there was no wind on that day. There were few lines of smoke rising straight into the air and became one in the sky. I rushed out of my house to the rice fields with my sketch book in my hand.
